![]() Now that I've got my wife skiing with me, we tend to go on 5-7 day trips instead, which I dig, but I know not everyone has that flexibility. ![]() With your flexibility, I would personally be chasing storms :Dįormer Dallas-based person here who used to do sorta the stuff you did. It can be dangerous to just take an off-piste trail where you don't know where it pops out, or where it leads to, hence the time to take explore the resort and familiarize yourself helps, so you can find and feel safe taking those more interesting lines. When you explore a new resort, it can take a few days to familiarize yourself with it, then build connections of lines in your head of which line you could take next. I think trying to hit all these resorts is actually a bit overkill. You should be able to find good private instructors at any resort. Some of the bigger resorts you could easily do 100+ days straight and not get bored. I highly doubt you will get bored, especially if your total amount of days is 12. Which resort on the Vail list above would probably have the best private instructors?Įdit: Skill level is, I could comfortably make it down a groomed blue in Deer Valley on my 12th/last day this year. I had originally thought I'd do ti at Deer Valley (at a chunky price of $1,000, and I'd still need to buy lift tickets separately), but since I'm on Epic, I should pick a resort on here. Thoughts? How many days would you do at each of these resorts, if you could theoretically do up to 3 days total for each?Īlso, I would like to do a full-day private lesson at one of these resorts early on in the season (so I can keep using the knowledge for the rest of the season). Japan - cause I'm feeling overambitious and will likely axe it from the list lol Park City - have to go since I've got the ski-in hotel lol Heavenly - looks gorgeous being able to see Lake Tahoe from the pics lol Telluride - heard great things + limited on Epic Pass Vail & Breck - since they seem to be the most famous ones ![]() The ones I've got on the list, are they overall the best Epic pass resorts that I have to hit up? My reasoning for the ones I chose. Telluride and Sun Valley are both restricted to 7 days total - is it worth trying to hit a whole 7 days at each one or will I get bored? The longest I've spent at the previous resorts was the 3 days at Winter Park (not 3 straight, but 3 over a week), and I wonder if sticking to one place for 7 days is overkill. Colorado.not so much since it's not centralized. That's how I did both the Utah trips earlier this year - however, in a 3 day weekend in Utah, you could hit different resorts on each day since everything is within a 1 hour drive of SLC. I have a lot of flexibility job-wise for fly out Thursday nights, fly back to Dallas Monday - type trips. Is this feasible to pull off between January and March? Would any of these open even in December perhaps and have decent snow? Park City (got a deal on a ski-in resort here for $350 total for 4 nights, 3 days as long as I sit through a 2-hour timeshare presentation lol). Here are the following places I was thinking of hitting up for Jan - March 2020: I learned to ski for the first time this year and got 12 days over the following resorts:įor 2020, I signed up for a full Epic Pass.
